Ending Support for Mac OS X

Apple's upcoming OS X update, Catalina (10.15), is going to require all apps that run on it to be officially authorized in order to run on user machines. This requires anyone developing for Catalina to have a modern Mac capable of running the new OS and a developer's account.

The costs for both new hardware and the developer's license are unfortunately expenses that I can't afford, and so official support for Final Spike will not extend to that version of Mac OS X. Version 1.02 of Final Spike is going to be the final version of this game that has a Mac release, due to the fact that I cannot guarantee full functionality on Catalina and have no known way to ensure that the game will be able to run without having an authorization.
Additionally, any other games I make after Final Spike are not planned to target any version of OS X. Instead, I will be focusing my attention on Windows and Linux support.

This isn't an ideal situation and I'm sorry that it's the case, but unfortunately I don't have the resources to maintain OS X support for my games with these additional impositions that Apple is placing on OS X development. If the situation changes in the future, this decision may be re-assessed, but at present, this is how it stands.
